twilight movie give away
So it seems my blog has boiled down to being about 4 things lately….drawing, jewelry, teaching and Twilight. Well, that pretty much sums me up. To continue with the established pattern I have more Twilight and jewelry news to bring you along with a little give away!
It’s Twilight Movie Week!
As we have finally reach Twilight Movie Week and I am anxiously waiting for Friday like a 6 year old on Christmas Eve waits for Christmas morning…completely and obnoxiously impatient, I thought I would give away my favorite piece from last week Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge.
Click the pictures for more detailed images.
This necklace was inspired by the meadow scene in Twilight, as was the challenge for week 3 of TTIC. Because this phrase seems to represent the entire novel more than just that theme I decided to go with black Swarovski crystals and a deep red Czech glass bead accented with Bali silver. Suspended from the circle pendant is one 6mm Ruby Swarovski crystal and Bali silver bead. The chain is an 18″ fine gauge Italian rollo chain connected with 24 gauge sterling silver wire that is hand-wrapped to a sterling silver lobster clasp. A 2 inch extension chain as been added to aid in sizing.
How do I win?
So how do you win this lovely bit of Twilight pop culture? Well let me tell you, there are a couple of way to enter.
- Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite Twilight book scene is and why you love it.
- If you give this little give away a shout somewhere else I’ll throw your name in the ring twice. (Make sure you comment again that you did because I’m no Edward, I can’t read minds.)
When will I know if I won?
Friday! Since Friday is Twilight Day. See, I just announced a National holiday. Working and school are optional, but don’t tell your boss or principal I said so. On Friday I’ll use a random number generator to pick the lucky winner! Good Luck!

Oh my favorite scene, I just finished reading it again, getting ready for the movie. I have so many, one is of Edward coming to Bella’s rescue in Port Angeles. I love it because wouldn’t it be so cool to have someone “save” you like that. I can’t wait for that scene in the movie. Another, not so much a scene but a couple of lines when Bella, Alice and Jasper are getting ready to leave to AZ-
Jasper-”You’re wrong, you know”
Bella- “What”
Jasper-”I can feel what you’re feeling now-and you are worth it.”

My favorite scene is when he shows her how he moves so fast. You know that he trusts her and she trusts him. It’s part of the evolution of their relationship.

So many to choose from…gotta go to my favorite book – New Moon…but wait, you said Twilight…so the Meadow Scene, of course.
“I don’t scare you?” he asked playfully, but I could hear the real curiousity in his soft voice.
“No more than usual.”
He smiled wider, his teeth flashed in the sun.

Somehow my comment posted… not sure what happened. Anyway, the Port Angeles scene is fantastic because you know Edward must care about her a lot and that’s awesome to see. I love the meadow scene because he’s finally giving in, letting her in, and that’s really what you’ve been waiting for.
BUT… I also love the scene when she first eats lunch with him. It’s like that first feeling when you meet the man you’re going to marry, and you get the glimpse that it might work out. And the conversation is kinda fun, too.

I think my favorite scene was when she goes with him to play baseball with his family. I also loved the part when the other vampire got a “whiff” of her. That kind of devotion/protectiveness makes your heart give a little flutter.
I twittered as well!!

I retweeted your announcement. I’ll post again if I finish the book by Friday. Are you sending it to me? If not, I’ll run out tonight and buy it. I have a Borders GC burning a hole in my pocket

My favorite part of Twilight (granted I just read it not too long ago) would have to be the scene where Edward and Bella are in school. Anytime when they are doing nothing special, just being together because it makes me feel like I could have a relationship like that.
Also I retweeted it and sent several e-mails on facebook to people who I thought would want this.

Ok first of all BEAUTIFUL necklace!!!!
Second – are we twins??? LOL just kidding! But you sound an awful lot like me?!?!?! What do you teach? I haven’t made any jewelry in awhile though
My favorite scene from the book – this is so hard! I love the meadow, prom, and the hospital where they are arguing about turning her and she says I’m betting on Alice. Oh or the first night he spends with her that she knows it! See too many too chose!

OME! My fave scene is a small, silly one… the first night that Bella is aware of Edward staying in her room – when she wakes up he says, “Your hair looks like a haystack… but I like it.” LOL!

I actually have never read 4 books in just 1 week- ever! This Twilight really got to me.
My favorite part is the honeymoon! I love that they get to be together- in more ways than one! Also, the feathers and headboard incident are hysterical.
I also love it when Rennesme and Bella get to bond for the first time- thought that was beautiful.

OMG! I would PAY for that gorgeous necklace!!! It is nice but subtle! Anyway, my favorite scene from Twilight is the baseball game. Yea, it isn’t mushy, but it is just a great discription and is fabulous!

You’re such a generous soul!
I love your jewelery—sorry I haven’t stopped by to tell you that yet. Bad me.
Favorite Scene (1 of many):the kiss after carrying her back from the meadow—
“He hesitated—not in the normal way, the human way. Not the way a man might hesitate before he kissed a woman, to gauge her reaction, to see how he would be received. Perhaps he would hesitate to prolong the moment, that ideal moment of anticipation, sometimes better than the kiss itself.”

OOOh I want to play (and win… hint, hint)
I don’t have the books with me, so I can’t be specific (I loaned them out) but I loved when he played her the song he had written for her. I tried to picture it in my head at the time, but could never grasp it. Then I went to itunes and heard a snippet of it from the movie, and wow, it totally fits and is just beautiful. I think it captures their relationship so well.

Love the Jewelry! I thought Breaking Dawn brought Edward and Jacob together on Bella’s behalf. You know I’m not the only one who’s thought “Ohhhh, I wish THAT would happen to me”! Can’t wait to see the movie. Even got DH to read:)

What an awesome giveaway.
I don’t really have a favorite scene, yet. Well if I had to pick, I’d say the meadow scene. I am only on the third book though. I adore the entire story so far.

um, THE WHOLE THING…i love that first book!
ok, ok, one scene…well, i wish i had my book (loaned it out and am fiercely missing it), but off the top of my head, my fave scene is when the volvo whips into the alley and bel hears that furious (beautiful) snarl: “get in”…and then, while they drive, she tries to distract ed from his anger by saying she’s going to kill tyler at school the next day…just love that whole scene.
and pretty much anytime they’re doing their witty banter-slash-bickering…love that too.
oh, and my favorite line (not that you asked, but hey, you got me started on twilight and this is what happens): “stupid shiny volvo owner.”
BEEEAUTIFUL jewels, girl!! i think you should totally rig this so i can win.

Well, I would have to say that my favorite scene is the first time he stays the night and she wakes up in the morning and is so excited that he stayed. Then she has to have her “human” moment.
Love the necklace, by the way. T-minus 2 days until the movie.
