A Farm Fresh Halloween?

Halloween Mouse

Mary Sketch

It’s Friday and that means it’s Farm Fresh Friday time over at the Greeting Farm blog. This week Mary has given us a sketch to use. For my card I used Penny Witch. Penny happens to be a very special stamp to me because she is the very first digital stamp I bought way back last year in August AND she’s also the very first Greeting Farm stamp I purchased though she’s not my first Greeting Farm stamp… I was lucky enough to receive Wild Sprout Edward (he’s out of stock right now or I’d link to him) as a member of the Twilight Tuesday design team way back when and he was actually my first rubber stamp. I KNOW!! How cool is that? So long story short I’m excited to use Penny today. This is the first time I’ve had a chance to use her on a card. I did get her colored last year but Halloween came and went without me being able to use her. Last time I colored her in Prismacolors but this time I used Copics and I like this version a lot better. 😀

I started by printing Penny on PTI white cardstock and coloring her with Copics. Then I cut her out using a Classic Circle Nestabilities die leaving the tip of her hat out of the die. I sponged the edges of the image while it was still in the die with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. Then I cut out a plain purple sheet of cardstock using the Labels Three Nestabilitie die and sponged it in the die with Dusty Concorde. Behind that I crisscrossed two strips of black punched on either side with a Martha Stewart Lattice Punch and added some black Dew Drops to the corners.

I’ll be back tomorrow for a bit of fun with the Oh, Alice! challenge blog!
