This week we are dividing the design team up into two groups for a special challenge with Club Scrap. This first round is made up of:

Donna ~ Jacquie ~ Julie ~ Tonya and ME!

Our challenge was to take the gorgeous Club Scrap card kit we received and create a card with limited supplies… NO EMBELLISHMENTS… GASP. Okay, I can do this. So that means no ribbon, no Dew Drops, no brads.

This is the paper pack we received…

Club Scrap card kitIsn’t it great? (That paper that appears to be light blue is actually cream in color.)

So here is what I made…

I used the red pre-folded card to make this birthday card for my husband’s grandmother. I also used one of the smaller red post cards to stamp the center Happy Birthday sentiment.

When I started this challenge I was stumped and then I found this fantastic paper from My Mind’s Eye in my paper stash and it matched the red to perfection so away I went. I punched the top edge of the blue paper with my Martha Stewart Lattice punch and layered the heck out the of the three panels.

To wrap it all up I stamped two matching accent squares and the birthday sentiment then embossed them in black.

The inside of the card uses the cream colored paper that was included in the card kit and it is stamped with another Happy Birthday stamp.

Thanks so much to Club Scrap for sharing this super generous kit with us! It is just gorgeous and so fun to work with.

One last thing… this is my other half of yesterdays’ challenge… the Edward card.

This gorgeous paper is from Basic Grey and it is beyond words fantastic.  I’m still using Donna’s distressing block to death and punching everything in sight.

I thin the sentiment speaks for itself. It is SOOO Edward… well except for that Winnie the Pooh part, lol. ;)
