rotten tomatoes and other fine pics
Blog candy can be found here (but you know… read this post first
)
I don’t know what it was about this nasty grouping of slowly rotting tomatoes on the vine that drew me in but for what ever reason they begged to have their picture taken.
As did this lovely section of ornamental grass that is weathering the change of season quite beautifully.
And lest I forget the ladybug infestation that seems to occur every year around this time… beneficial little buggers that they are (well unless one can’t seem to figure out how to stay on the wall and you are trying to sleep). This on really deserves a click to see it bigger.
All taken with my Canon Xsi Digital Rebel… straight from the camera.

It’s kind of amazing the things that catch our eye – love the ladybug pic! The shadows and clarity are beautiful!

WOW! Jen these are incredible!
how do you find the lag time on the Canon? I’m in the market for a new camera and heard that no matter what model, there’s a lag time in all Canons, so taking subsequent photos might be hard, and/or when you hit the button, the shutter has a lag time so your subject may have moved. Any validity?

Steph, my camera is a digital SLR so there is no delay on the shutter at all. It’s a different shutter mechanism than a point and shoot camera. I don’t think I’ve found a point and shoot that didn’t have a little delay. The SLR’s are automatic or manual so you let the camera set itself or you set the shutter speed/f-stop and it fires… bad settings or good. I don’t notice any shutter delay at all and I use it to shoot the kids pictures all the time and there’s no keeping them still.

Love the photo of the ladybug! Love ladybugs, too. They’re all over the place here this time of year, too.
