		<description>Steph, my camera is a digital SLR so there is no delay on the shutter at all. It&#039;s a different shutter mechanism than a point and shoot camera. I don&#039;t think I&#039;ve found a point and shoot that didn&#039;t have a little delay. The SLR&#039;s are automatic or manual so you let the camera set itself or you set the shutter speed/f-stop and it fires... bad settings or good. I don&#039;t notice any shutter delay at all and I use it to shoot the kids pictures all the time and there&#039;s no keeping them still.

how do you find the lag time on the Canon? I&#039;m in the market for a new camera and heard that no matter what model, there&#039;s a lag time in all Canons, so taking subsequent photos might be hard, and/or when you hit the button, the shutter has a lag time so your subject may have moved. Any validity?
