TTIC55 – Monochromatic colors

Psst…. I’m offering some blog candy here.

This week our project theme is brought to you by the very lovely and talented Eve. This week she has asked us to come up with a monochromatic card – basically using all the lights and darks of one color. I chose blue. Blue is a favorite of mine and a favorite in the book. I have a second project I’m working on in green (I really loved this challenge, lol). So here it is:

TTIC55 by Jen Shults

What’s a blue Twilight card without Bella? Of course I had to use Camille aka Bella from the Greeting Farms limited edition Twilight Digi’s.

For my card I used two shades of blue from Bazzill, one textured and one untextured. I add lots of layers and added some texture with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and some extras with ribbon, a button and a few Kaiser pearls.

Here’s a more details view of Bella. I colored her with my Copics.

Copics used: E00, E02, R20, E29, E37, E35, B05, G17, BG09, C1, BG10, 0

Now I also want to say… I had a little Nestabilities issue with this. I tried to use my Nesties to cut out Bella but I didn’t have quite the right size die and it shifted just enough to make her a little off center. I need to invest in the other sizes of these rectangles I guess. I so desperately want to use them but I always get frustrated, lol. Back to my Xacto I guess. :(

For the comment portions of today’s challenge Eve asked about our plans for Friday. Well I’m going out Friday with some girls from work to see Twilight. We are headed far away from our students to another city to have a nice dinner and see the movie. Should be fantastic! I can’t wait!!

Now hop on over to see what the rest of the lovely ladies of the design team created!

  1. This is gorgeous Jen! I keep seeing everyone using these digis but I can’t find them on TGF!! Can you help a girl out? Where are they located!! I hope you have a great time with your friends. I know it’s a much needed break! I’d like to try and plan a TTIC get together for Eclipse. It’ll be summer so hopefully it’s doable!!

They were a one weekend only sale at TGF the weekend before last. :( I just barely got them. I think I purchased mine that Sunday about two hours before the sale was over. I know two of them are going to be produced as rubber but I don’t know which two.
