I’ve been getting back to my roots so to speak and have been doing more drawing and painting these days. I start a LOT of projects, paintings, drawings, etc. when I’m teaching but I rarely never finish anything. Well today I did. We have been working on a Fauvism unit in my 8th grade class and this year I decided to try out a new portrait painting project and of course I had to make an example. I used Ben as my subject and yep, I drew it all from the photo and painted it all. For some reason when I took photos the blue paint I used didn’t react well with the flash – it’s a much deeper blue than what it appears to be on the screen. Here’s the results…
