I’m completely addicted…
to the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. They are a fantastic read and completely captivating. I highly recommend them if you are looking for something new to read.
I first heard of these books while teaching 8th grade Art 2. A group of girls would come in every day in a tizzy over how far they had read and what was happening. After this bled over into two more classes and another group that included some boys as well I had to see what all the fuss was about. The premise: a 17 year old girl moves to live with her father in Forks, WA and discovers a ‘family’ of vampires. I actually wasn’t all that interested when I heard the premise – I’d already had my vampire stage in high school when Interview with a Vampire came out based on the novel by Ann Rice. oh, you and me both. i’ve read the first two and am waiting oh-so-patiently for the third to be available at the library. i’m on a waiting list, but i’m about to just go out and buy the stinkin’ thing.
isn’t it insane to be in love with fictional characters?
