So, last week I made the mistake of complaining about how fast the week went and then the next day I promptly started getting sick and this week has gone on for an eternity. I will NOT be making that mistake again. All week’s go at the same pace… seriously, lol!

I hope everyone is well. I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s sketch and threw their hat into the ring for the guest designer spot. There is some seriously FIERCE competition! It’s going to be hard to chose, that is for sure. But, alas, it has to be done and we will have a winner for you with next week’s sketch. :)

This Week’s Sketch:

So let’s get down to what you really want… the NEW sketch. :)

I hope this one tickles your creative funny bone and helps get the mojo flowing. :) I know I really enjoyed working with it even though at first sight it wasn’t my typical type of layout. Now with that here’s a look at what I made.

I know, I know. I seriously haven’t met a sketch that I couldn’t alter, especially my own, so I switched up the ovals for rectangles to better fit this image that I HAD to use. Last week Arielle used an image from Dilly Bean Stamps by Megan Suarez and I literally RAN over to her blog and bought the place out. Well not really but sorta. Megan has a wide assortment of stamps ranging from arty like this one (Ladybug Girlie) to seriously grunge and goth to really cute and adorable. I’m really drawn to this more arty style of stamp and could not resist grabbing of few and HAD to use one today, hence the altered sketch. :)

I printed the digi out on Southworth Linen coverstock and colored her with Copics and added a bit of sparkle with a Sakura Stardust pen and added white to the eyes with a Souffle pen. The designer paper is Echo Park Dots and stripes Metropolitan. I threw in some ribbon and rhinestones and doodled quite a bit and it was done.

I’m combining my post today with my missed post of Flutterby Wednesday from yesterday. Our Flutterby challenge this week is an open challenge, just use a fairy, butterfly or angel. :)

We have one more DT announcement to make. After 6 months of gorgeous creations Anna Maria is leaving us to pursue every crafter’s dream… a teaching job at her local craft store! We are going to miss her creations but I definitely wish her the best of luck and I just KNOW she’s going to be a fabulous teacher!

Now why don’t we have a look at what the current Deconstructed Sketch girls had to say about this week’s sketch?

We are unsponsored this week so there is not time limit to play and as always no specific image requirements. I hope you can join us this week!
