Alright here we go! I hope you are doing well this week and are ready for another sketch! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in last week’s sketch. Your creations were just brilliant! This Week’s Sketch:

My Sample:

For my sample I used one of Arielle’s Wax Fruit Company digis, Dogwood and colored it with Prismacolor Colored pencils. I used a combination of pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits and a burnishing technique (heavily applied pencil). I took a little artistic liberty with the colors on the dogwood blooms. :)

The designer paper I used is from Country Drive by Echo Park and the embossing folder is Seeing Spots from Cuttlebug. The sentiment is Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler.

Please be sure to hop around and visit the Deconstructed Sketch Girls samples. They have made some AMAZING creations and I know they will get your creativity going!

I envy you so much! I’m a frustrated artist. I like art but art doesn’t like me at all. I’ve tried creating cards for my significant others and they turned out to be valuable even if they were not that perfect. What the best color scheme for a valentine’s card aside from red and pink? Valentines is fast approaching now so I should prepare!

    Thanks for the inspiration!
