good tunes
As a hometown girl, I have to take a pause and mention a lovely new addition to my iPod today. David Cook’s self titled post Idol album was released today (well, almost yesterday) and I am impressed. Cook co-wrote or solely wrote all but one song on the album and they all have personality. After sampling a few of the songs on Cook’s first solo album, Analog Heart, I was hoping for a little bit more edge, especially in the instrumental music but none the less I am really happy with this album.
Songs of note that I particularly dig… A Daily Anthem, Life on the Moon, and Lie. Permanent is beautiful, gripping and heart-breaking.
Idol just might not be the same after this one.
