Wednesday Weigh-In #2

Wednesday Thursday Weigh-In

This week was fraught with opportunities to eat horribly. Two Thanksgiving celebrations, a birthday pizza party, and 5 days off work. That should spell disaster. Thankfully it only sorta spelled hiccup.

Thursday I made Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, dressing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn casserole, potato casserole, green bean casserole, apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll, it was endless. Knowing that I would over eat at lunch I at a very light breakfast and a very light dinner.

Saturday was Thanksgiving number two – a potluck appetizer event. Appetizers are quite possibly the most unhealthy category of food – dessert might fair even better due to the occasional fruit content. This time I got lucky – there were a lot of foods I didn’t like.

Monday was Ben’s birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. I opted for a small salad and two small slices of pizza. It was the cake that got me.

But I am back on track now, ready to keep sliding down the number scale. This upcoming week I plan on incorporating some Wii Fit and will continue with the other changes from last week.

One thing I’ve noticed that is causing me some trouble is my lack of morning calorie intake. I’m eating breakfast but not enough. I’m not generally starving in the morning and what I do eat lasts me until lunch. But after lunch within 2 hours my stomach is rumbling so I am adding a morning snack to my routine to help hold off the temptation to overeat in the afternoon/evening time. The three hours between leaving work and dinner are my worst time of day.

So here is the prognosis:

Lost last week: 4.8 pounds
This week: 1.2 pounds gained :(

I’m working hard for negative numbers next week.

  1. Only 1.2? That’s awesome! Anything less than 5 is awesome during that season. You’re doing fabulously!

I can’t eat a big breakfast all in one go so I space it out. Bowl of whole wheat cereal to start. And apple an hour or two later. Maybe a small serving of yogurt before lunch. Really helps. Especially the apple. I used to hate them but they’re my saving grace now. So filling!
