transformers, shopping, trees, lights, and laundry
A riveting title escaped me this morning.
So here is the weekend recap. Saturday Chris and I got up, fed the kids, watched a little bit of Transformers the movie. Yes, that’s right. Transformers the movie. A movie that has some of the worst dialogue, bad acting, though cool effects and I still couldn’t stop watching the dang thing. Maybe it’s because I was a tomboy, maybe it’s because I had Transformer action figures, maybe it’s because I still know who Optimus Prime is, and maybe it’s because I know the difference between Transformers and Voltron but I couldn’t stop watching the stupid movie, and let me tell you it’s fascinatingly lame.
After we morphed back into adults Chris and I got everyone ready and headed out to Target with the intention of just getting Christmas lights. Two hours later we came back with all of our Christmas shopping done!! This is HUGE. We are last minute, still shopping on Christmas Eve people, not done shopping two weeks before Christmas people. All of its still unwrapped but that I can handle.
Once that was done we headed home to clean the house to have some friends over. A little bit of salad and pizza later we were hanging out playing Blockus. If you haven’t played this game you should. It’s awesome. The best description I can come up with is that it’s like multiplayer tetris but that’s not even quite right. You should get it. Really.
Sunday was a blur of activity – we set up the Christmas tree, hung Christmas lights and decorations, I graded 3 classes worth of projects, did 4 loads of laundry, made 4 pieces of jewelry and I even did a little reading (they’ll be mailed out today if I owe you something 
), Chris did 6 hours of flash web design for work and came down with a nasty cold.
Whew, I’m tired just writing that out. What did you do this weekend?

Jen, I loved the Transformers movie!! Haha! My husband shared your sentiments, but I thought it was hot.
We love playing Blockus. Fun for all ages

WTG on your shopping!!! I am very proud of the two of you! John and I are also Christmas eve shoppers and we are going to TRY to get it all done this weekend, so we are not in such bad moods on Christmas eve when we can’t find anything
Where can you buy Blockus? It looks and sounds like something I would love!!!

Never heard of Blockus? Sounds like a great gift.
My husband liked the Transformers movie, so did both of my daughters. I just couldn’t get in to it at all.
