Wordless Wednesday
Somewhere along the line here I managed to get all the way to 250 posts. 250 posts. That’s a lot in my mind. I know there are bloggers out there with 1,000′s of posts or 10,000′s of posts and that’s awesome. For me 250 posts is a lot. It means to me that I’ve stuck with this long enough to actually create something that I won’t abandon. That’s a big deal to me and worthy of doing something a little crazy.
Well, as my verboseness sort of snuck up on me today but I thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to share a wonderful idea I saw over at Perks of Being Me.
In the spirit of change and giving I’m going to do a different kind of give away and something to keep me creatively challenged for a while. Leave me a comment and I’ll make something for you. There’s no limit so if you respond you’ll get something. Now on to the disclaimer that you knew was coming:
- I get until 12/31/09 to get you your surprise.
- I make no promises about what it will be.
- What ever it is will be only made for you.
- I’m not going to tell you what it is – it’s a SURPRISE.
- I reserve the right for it to be odd.
- I’ll email you when it’s done so I can send it to you.
- I honestly have no clue what I’m going to make – maybe I’ll draw, maybe jewelry, maybe baked goods, maybe a card, maybe something I haven’t even thought of yet, you’ll just have to take a chance.

Did you change your header? I swear earlier today when I was here it was different.
I can’t remember if you posted that pic, but who cares pictures of kids are always cute, right? Specially when they are your own.
What a fun giveaway. I would do it too, but I’m not that talented like you are with your jewelry and drawings. There is one thing I like to make but then everyone that came and commented would get the same thing. Oh well, I’m gonna have to think about that….

LOL, yeah the head rotates.
I was thinking it didn’t always have to be something crafty – maybe once it a while it could just be a nice card or some cookies cause I’m going to run out of drawing ideas unless everyone wants a picture of Edward, lol.

first off: i love evey’s face in that photo…good on ya for capturing that moment! i am learning that good photography depends on so much more than just the technique…it’s about capturing emotion, conveying moods, resonating with the viewer on a visceral level. you are well on your way, my dear.
and i am honest-to-goodness-ly not commenting just so you will give me something, but you know how much i love just about everything you touch because you are oozing with artistic talent, so if you wanna send a little something my way i will be ecstatic, except you have to say it like this: ecSTAtic! but well, in a size 74 font, which i don’t really know how to do in a comment box (and would likely tick off the comment box people anyway, so it’s just as well).
however.
if it gets to be, like, december 29th and you are so not digging the idea of staying up all night baking snickerdoodles and you are silently cursing yourself for this moment of insanity and perks of being me for giving you the idea and the bloggisphere for existing and al gore for inventing the internet, then you can totally cross my name off your list and know that my love for you endures.
and now that i have blogged within your blog, i feel the need to summarize: evey is darling. love your stuff, but don’t stress about sending me something.

If it gets to be like 12/29 and I haven’t sent you anything just know there is a fruit cake in the mail for you that I demand you eat.

This should make your year fun and exciting! i would do something similar except I totally know myself. It would be December 28th and I’d be like “oh CRUD!” and I’d be writing haikus in “calligraphy” and sending them to everyone . . . and they’d all be like “I am never visiting her lame blog again . . .”
And then I’d be like, whoa, I’ve used the word “like” about eighty times in this comment and maybe I should take that as a hint that I should go to bed and quit typing now.
And you’d be like, yeah, you should totally leave now.

Wow, 250 posts? That’s amazing! I’m impressed if I get one out a week.
I agree with Nic from above, I’m just sharing some comment love with a bloggy friend, so if you get too many ppl, feel free to drop mine off the list. Reading (and being read in return) is pretty much the only gift I ever expect from my blog friends!
Oh, and the little one is ADORABLE.
