Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge 18 – Valentines

This rendition of TTIC is brought to you by the fabulous Julie of Stars Fall Creations. She’s awesome – go check out her designs…. AFTER you see mine. :D

This week we are focusing on Valentine’s Day – specifically valentine’s that the Cullen’s would send to each other. Seeing as I don’t make cards that means I’m making stuff this week. First up…  a Valentine from Alice to Renesmee, because you KNOW Alice isn’t going to let any holiday go by ignored.

Details: 5.5″ long with a 1″ extension chain. Czech glass hearts, Lucite white bell flowers and clear Swarovski crystals are hand-wrapped to a sterling silver rollo chain.

And this next piece is a necklace that I thought might be something Edward snuck in the house for Bella. Eventually he’d twist her arm and get her to wear it.

Details: Ivory fresh water pearls are strung between sterling disks, and clear Swarovski crystal disks. Measures 17″ with a 2″ extension chain finished with a single freshwater pearl.

Now the comment portion…. and I thought I struggled with the crafting idea. Julie has asked that we discuss which relationship we identify with most in the book. Well honestly I don’t identify with many of them in a realistic sense but I think the one I enjoy the most is Emmett and Rosalie. They just crack me up. A close second is probably Alice and Jasper as they are just too cute.

Now head on out and see the other designs of our design team:

And if you have a moment sneak over to the actual challenge post and see what our other participants have made! If you are inclined please feel free to play along!

  1. Okay, Jen, I swear I am not saying this to you because we’re friends — this stuff is SO AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS! Honestly — I am stunned. STUNNED. The beauty is almost too much. It’s like looking at Rob. I know I tend towards the dramatic — but I am NOT exaggerating here.

Thanks! I had to practically wrestle that one away from Evey this morning. She spotted and asked if it was for her. I’m going to be making another one in the near future I think. :D

  3. the “oooh, shiny things!” tag is cracking me up.

very lovely work, as usual, medear. makes me wish (once again) that we lived on the same block…i so need someone to bead alongside me. lately i’ve started a piece and the solitude (which i’d normally enjoy) of my work has sapped my creative juices.

hahaha, you are the first one to spot that tag. it’s one of my favorites. :D

now you know if we lived by one another neither of us would get any work done ever because we’d be gabbing about books too much. i do hear ya though – beading is a very solitary activity, my iPod is my constant companion when it’s beading night otherwise I go nuts.

    thanks Steph!

i did use the Ott light. I have an 18 watt one and it’s perfect. I only have to do minimal contrast adjustments after shooting to get really nice pictures and the color is almost always perfect. I highly recommend it.
