It’s Tuesday and it’s that time again! I’m sure everyone is sitting in front of the TV with the DVD remote in hand watching their favorite movie scenes over and over and over. Umm… I may be a baseball fan now. ;) I know Chris and I watched it last night. It was his first time to see it… I’ll have more on that later, it was quite entertaining.

Twilight Tuesday BannerNow on to this weeks challenge. This week our creativity challenge theme was chosen by Dani of Count Your Beautiful Blessings and she chose Carlisle as our theme. You can get the full details at TwilightTuesday.com.

As the leader of the Cullen family and the original vampire in their coven he has an interesting back story as shared when Bella goes to the Cullen’s house for the first time. Having been a vampire for well over 300 years and to have never fed on a human ever is pretty amazing. Not to mention having enough control to handle being a medical doctor. Quite a complex character, I’d have to say. If you haven’t read the character bio for Carlisle at the Twilight Lexicon you should, it’s very interesting.

On to my challenge piece… I created a digital scrap piece based on the two main things I think of when I think of Carlisle – compassion and control. There is not another character in any of the books who shows more compassion and only Edward rivals his control.

This quote from Edward pretty well sums up Carlisle as a character:

“Carlisle has always been the most humane, the most compassionate of us… I don’t think you could find his equal throughout all of history.” (Twilight, page 288).
