Today is the day!! It’s finally here!!! Today should be fun… my classes are going to be sprinkled with sleepy teenage girls and filled with giddy ones ready to see the movie tonight… and I’ll be just as giddy… just silent, lol. 5:30 can’t get here fast enough and if one of my students spoils it for me… GRRR. I have some how managed to avoid all promotional material… ALL of it, I really want to go into this completely cold to get a true feel for the movie. So anyhow…

Two blog hops in one day! LOL, what am I thinking.

This card has been on my mind since I bought these Greeting Farm digi’s two weekend’s ago (has it really been that long!). When I saw this week’s Mojo Monday sketch I wondered if I could make it work and with a little altering it did!

I used my Copics to color Bella, Edward and Jacob. I had a TON of fun working on them. Here’s details of each:

Bella’s a little out of focus but the color is so much better on this one than the other shot I have so I went with this one.

I love how Jacob turned out… he looks so at ease and Jake like, lol.

I toyed with the idea of making Edward sparkle but I was so afraid I would ruin him that I decided not to. I did do a test piece with this stamps and some diamond Stickles and when Chris saw it he asked me if I was trying to immitate the CGI from the first movie… that was enough to make me giggle cause I thought the same thing and to decide to pass on the sparkle. Now if I ever get my hands on some Spicas… we’ll talk.

So this is turning out to be the LONGEST post ever, lol.

This week our project theme is brought to you by the very lovely and talented Eve. This week she has asked us to come up with a monochromatic card – basically using all the lights and darks of one color. I chose blue. Blue is a favorite of mine and a favorite in the book. I have a second project I’m working on in green (I really loved this challenge, lol). So here it is:

What’s a blue Twilight card without Bella? Of course I had to use Camille aka Bella from the Greeting Farms limited edition Twilight Digi’s.

For my card I used two shades of blue from Bazzill, one textured and one untextured. I add lots of layers and added some texture with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and some extras with ribbon, a button and a few Kaiser pearls.

Now I also want to say… I had a little Nestabilities issue with this. I tried to use my Nesties to cut out Bella but I didn’t have quite the right size die and it shifted just enough to make her a little off center. I need to invest in the other sizes of these rectangles I guess. I so desperately want to use them but I always get frustrated, lol. Back to my Xacto I guess.

For the comment portions of today’s challenge Eve asked about our plans for Friday. Well I’m going out Friday with some girls from work to see Twilight. We are headed far away from our students to another city to have a nice dinner and see the movie. Should be fantastic! I can’t wait!!
