TTIC51 – Edward Cullen part 2

I know, I know, better late than never though right.

So here is my project for today’s challenge. Edward Cullen. Make a challenge that focuses on Edward. Well, somewhat easier said than done. But in the end I decided that simplicity was better than the complex so I went with my Greeting Farm stamp of Wild Sprout Edward and then my new favorite thing… some Cosmo Cricket paper. Edward’s going a little casual today…

I can’t ever remember what paper pack I used but I think is the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love, I think, a bunch of Bazzill Basics cardstock in browns and my trust PTI white with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my Copics.

Here’s a closeup of Edward….

Sometimes you just get lucky with the focus on your camera, lol, this thing is in such tight focus you can see the grain of the PTI white cardstock. That grain is not visible in person.

I used a whole slew of browns, flesh tones and greens on this thing and I forgot to write them down. I know for certain the hair is mainly E33, E35, E37 and E08 to give it a reddish look. For skin I use E00 and YR00 as an accent. His sweater and pants are the same colors from his hair just used in different quantities and his shirt… this is the one I don’t remember but I think it was G21 and YG67 (I think). His shadow is C1, C3 and 0.

I’m not sure if anyone is interested in this but I was thinking of putting together a tutorial of how I use Copics to shade these. I know there are a lot of these out there so I wasn’t sure if it would be useful…. thoughts?

So there you have it.

Now on to my thoughts about dear Edward. Well, I’ve read so much fan-fiction that for me it’s somewhat hard to remember what book Edward is like but, I do know that while I loved Bella’s character the story wouldn’t have been half of what it was without the complexity and the flaws and the perfection of Edward’s character And no I don’t think he’s perfect… I think he’s perfectly flawed… the quintessential Catch 22 – the perfect ‘man’ whose not really a man but instead a predator, with that kind of plot set up how can you go wrong.

Now if you haven’t done it already go visit the other DT members because they rock. :D

TTIC51: Edward Cullen

It’s that time again… Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is ready for another weekly installment! This week it was my turn to pick the challenge! Last week when I was making the announcement about the Anniversary Blog Hop (which I’ll get to in a minute) I was typing out  a list of all of the previous challenges and guess who was missing…. Edward!! GASP!! I know!! So it just happened that this week was my week so I picked him. Poor forgotten Edward!

So the challenge this week is to create a project that showcases who Edward is and what he means to you.

The comment challenge is to give your thoughts on Edward? Does he sit high up on your fictional loves pedistal or is he cast to the bottom of your literary garbage can? And have you read that partial copy of Midnight Sun? What do you think about having the story told from Edward’s point of view?

So before I get to my challenge piece I thought I’d stroll down memory lane and show you a few things I’ve made in the past year that show off a little love for Edward:

This was a jewelry set I made fairly early on in my TTIC days. This was for challenge 5, What team are you on?

Edward The Greeting Farm

This was for our collaboration with The Greeting Farm… I LOVE this little Edward, you may see him again later today.

Edward Cullen by Deconstructing Jen

And let’s not forget this. This was originally started for TTIC12 – Twilight Quotes, I believe but it took me a good 40 hours to finish and wasn’t done until somewhere around TTIC35, lol. If you click the picture you should be able to see a larger image.

Now onto this weeks challenge… uh right. Well about that you see. I’m a little behind. This past weekend was a bit of an adventure and I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to but never fear… my Edward project will be done soon… though now that I re-posted that drawing I don’t know what I’m going to do to top that.

Now be sure to hop around and visit the other member of the design team to see what they did to give Edward a little love.
