It’s RELEASE day!!! Yay!!! Today I have a fun card and tag set that I made using Snow A La Carte and Totally Tags Holiday stamps and dies.

For the tags I started with Totally Tags Holidays snowman tag stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored with Copics. I added Stardust Stickles after cutting the tags out with the Totally Tags die. Next I used the Project Pantry 12 Days kit papers and ribbon to create the background for the tags by cutting out a Spellbinders Label 4 shape and then bordering it with another cutout. I added a bit of the ribbon and then layered everything together with foam tape. I added more foam tape to the back of the tag but left the backing on it so it’s ready to attach to a gift.

To match the tags I create a card using Snow A La Carte. I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black onto more Choice Buttercream and colored it with Copics to match the Project Pantry 12 Days kit. After coloring the stamp I cut it out using a Spellbinders Label 4 die and sponged inside the die with Bahama Blue Memento Ink and a sponge ink applicator. I added Stardust Stickles to the snowman (are you sensing a theme with my cards this release, lol!) I mounted everything together, added the ribbon and bow made with a Bow Easy. I added a snowflake cut out and more Stardust Stickles to the edges of the designer papers.

I love how these two sets combine to make the perfect card and gift tag combo!!!

Santa Claus Dare style

This week I’ve got a bunch of special Christmas cards on deck to send out. First up is the card for Ben’s babysitter. We have been so blessed to find a sitter that always goes way above and beyond anything I would have ever expected. So I put together this special card just for her.

I started out with this amazing image from Mo’s Digital Pencil called And I Want A… that I colored with Copics. Now I’m not gonna lie, that sucker took me a while. There are so many wonderful details in the image that I think I spent around 2 hours coloring it since it was my first run through with it.

I wanted to keep the card as simple as possible so the image could be the star so when I saw this week’s Diedrich Dare sketch it was perfect! I did end up modifying it just a tad but it was definitely my inspiration for this layout.

Here’s Jack’s sketch:

When I was picking out paper I went straight to the new pack of My Mind’s Eye Christmas paper I had laying around and found this gorgeous background dp. I love that it’s very subtle and works great with the focal image.

I layered it all up, added just a bit of ribbon and some tiny Kaiser pearls and it was done. Oops, I also sponged the edges of everything with Brushed Courderoy Distress Ink.

And here’s a detail of Santa:
