TTIC 28 – The Wedding

Our challenge this week was selected by Margie of Oh Bumble is Me. Here’s what she had to say:

Craft: Create something inspired by Bella and Edward’s wedding. (Remember, Alice was the coordinator that consulted with Esme and Renee on most things to surprise Bella!)

Comment: What are your favorite things in a wedding? and/or most memorable ‘in real life’ or movie/tv wedding you’ve ever seen…?

I had a lot of ideas for this particular theme so I have a number of projects I’ll be sharing through out the week. I started off with a bride’s jewelry set. I know Bella isn’t much of a jewelry person but I Alice planned this shindig so you know there’s no way she’s getting down the isle without something.

I’m a huge fan of pearls and crystals so I made a very simple set that is a little out of the ordinary for wedding jewelry and somehow perfect for Bella.

Oxidized silver wedding bracelet

Oxidized silver wedding Necklace

For each piece I started with a simple sterling silver link chain. On the bracelet I hand wrapped the chain to a simple toggle clasp and added 11 hand wrapped cream freshwater pearls and 11 hand wrapped clear crystals.

On the necklace I created a simple “Y” design and hand wrapped 7 matching freshwater pearls and 11 clear crystals to create an elegant cluster.

Each piece was then oxidized to create the blackened antique finish.

TTIC 23 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

So I’m a huge dork and scheduled this for the wrong day, St. Patty’s day isn’t March 26. Right… continuing on.

This week the lovely and always funny Beth chose our topic: St. Patrick’s Day Cullen style. So I put my thinking cap on and came up with…. nothing. Then I decided why not do what I do best… kids jewelry (thanking my lucky stars for Breaking Dawn because now I have a reason to do kids jewelry for these challenges).

So we all know Bella isn’t buying Nessie jewelry but Alice is. So in true Alice fashion I give you the “Lucky Charm” bracelet and necklace set…
