Sparkle Creations White on White Challenge

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to announce that I am the November Guest Designer with Sparkle Creations! It’s my first challenge today and the challenge was a fun one! We were to create a card using white on white. Well I decided it would be fun to make a card that was all white. Not one stitch of color. Here’s the recipe:

Stamps: Cupcake Ruby (Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps)
Paper: PTI Stampers Select White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Taylored Expressions Spooky Texture Plate, Sizzix and Cuttlebug Embossing folder, seam binding, button, twine, foam tape, White Opal Liquid Pearls, glue dots

TTIC 61 – Touchy Feely Valentine

valentinetexture2

This weeks Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is brought to use by Donna and here’s what Donna had to say:

Craft Portion: Make a VALENTINE’S card/project for your favourite character or for YOUR valentine… but…. with texture!! That’s right I want you to add things like lace, raised embossing, distressed edges, fuzzy fibres, metal, cloth, cracked glass, leather, flower soft, sandpaper, anything that adds texture!

Comment Portion: Tell us your favourite Valentine’s story…Or if you haven’t got one, Tell us who you would like to snuggle up on Valentine’s day with from the Twilight Saga..

Well… I’ve made so many Edward cards recently that I decided to make something based on my second favorite character… Emmett. Of course I had to go with Wild Sprout Dressy Joyce from the Greeting Farm because Emmett’s favorite thing is definitely Rosalie. I colored Joyce with Copics and then pulled out my PTI Simple Valentine paper and PTI Raspberry Fizz cardstock and got to work.

To add texture I cut some hearts with my Slice Basics 1 design card and then used my Sissix Floral Flourishes and Vines embossing folder to add texture to the hearts. I stamped on the sentiment from using Versafine Black ink.  Then I cut Joyce out and popped her up on dimensionals and voila. :D

Now my favorite Valentine’s story… well I’d have to say that was the year that Chris surprised me with diamond earrings. As a rule we are NOT big Valentine’s day celebrators. We do small stuff for each other but we don’t go crazy as our wedding anniversary isn’t that far after Valentine’s day and I’d rather put my effort there. But this one morning I woke up on a normal work day that just happened to be Valentine’s Day to find a bag on my bedside table and inside was a small jewelry box with a pair of gorgeous diamond earrings. I was so stunned and touched that he did such a grand thing out of the blue. I was absolutely surprised because I had no idea at all. :D
