The Pink Elephant – Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday! :) I’m popping in today to share a card I made for today’s Pink Elephant Challenge because I am guest designing with them this week! This week it’s a sketch designed by Lori Boyd.

And here’s my card. I used Tammy and Girl with Stroller SugarSticks and digitally combined Tammy with the stroller from the Girl with Stroller digi to make a baby shower card for a friend. The image is colored with Prismacolors and OMS to match Cosmo Cricket’s Salt Air designer paper. I used three different Spellbinder’s dies and one Verve die to make this. The main image is cut out using a Spellbinders Label 4, the flower is cut out using a Spellbinder’s flower and a Classic Circles Large. I sponged inside the die to make the embossing show more. I embossed the designer paper and the white background to add a bit more interest.

I did modify the sketch just a little by adding some Dew Drops above the image and by shifting the sentiment to the center of the card.

Luck of the Irish

Happy Thursday everyone! I’ve got a fun card for you today using a new Sassy Studio Designs image, Lucy Leprechaun.

Lucy Leprechaun Card

I colored Lucy with my Prismacolors and OMS again. I’m really happy with how she turned out, she did take quite a bit of time to color *cough* 2 hours *cough* but that’s okay because it was a fun 2 hours.  I added a bit of sparkle to her hat, the coins and her shoes using a Clear Sakura Stardust pen and I  added a bit of Diamond Glaze to her drink to make it look like glass.

The rest is different shades of green cardstock. I embossed the background and sponged it with Walnut Stain and Antique Linen TH Distress ink. I made the 4 leaf clover from punched hearts layered together and glued on a stem. The leaves are from a MS punch that I’m addicted to and over using, lol.

Here are some detail photos:
