TTIC New Moon Blog Hop!!!

Today is the day!! It’s finally here!!! Today should be fun… my classes are going to be sprinkled with sleepy teenage girls and filled with giddy ones ready to see the movie tonight… and I’ll be just as giddy… just silent, lol. 5:30 can’t get here fast enough and if one of my students spoils it for me… GRRR. I have some how managed to avoid all promotional material… ALL of it, I really want to go into this completely cold to get a true feel for the movie. So anyhow… :D

This card has been on my mind since I bought these Greeting Farm digi’s two weekend’s ago (has it really been that long!). When I saw this week’s Mojo Monday sketch I wondered if I could make it work and with a little altering it did!

I used my Copics to color Bella, Edward and Jacob. I had a TON of fun working on them. Here’s details of each:

BellaTTIChop

Bella’s a little out of focus but the color is so much better on this one than the other shot I have so I went with this one. :D

jacobTTIChop

I love how Jacob turned out… he looks so at ease and Jake like, lol.

I toyed with the idea of making Edward sparkle but I was so afraid I would ruin him that I decided not to. I did do a test piece with this stamps and some diamond Stickles and when Chris saw it he asked me if I was trying to immitate the CGI from the first movie… that was enough to make me giggle cause I thought the same thing and to decide to pass on the sparkle. Now if I ever get my hands on some Spicas… we’ll talk. :D

So this is turning out to be the LONGEST post ever, lol.

Your next stop on the hop is Sammi’s blog!

Thank you to everyone who participated today! We are so happy to have you playing with us. I can’t wait to get a chance to get around and see everyone’s gorgeous creations!

a little note

Just a little note from Alice…

alicenotecard4

I’ve been a little obsessed lately with The Greeting Farms limited edition Twilight Wild Sprout digis. This is Joyce. She is by far my favorite… and Miss E”s too. I’ve printed a few of these out coloring book size for her and she is in LOVE. They are hanging up all over her bedroom, lol. Anyhow… I’m starting a notecard collection using all of the adorable images from this set. First up is Alice.

alicecard3

This image just begged for some pink so I went with it. I used my Copics to color Alice (numbers below). The card base is black Bazzill cardstock. I layered it with pink Bazzill and white PTI cardstock.

I embellished it with some black ribbon, a PTI white bow, a little DCM pink floss, a Martha Stewart edge punch and some bling. It’s not showing up too much but I also added just a bit of Diamond Stickles to her shirt to bling up her skull.

I also used my Fiskars 2 in 1 corner rounder for the first time. I love the effect but I’m not sure that punch is for me. I had a lot of trouble actually getting a rounded corner… what rounded corner punch do you use?
