TTSC9: butterfly

Here’s another TT Sketch Challenge card. The awesomely fantastic Dani had another great sketch for us!

So I flipped the sketch upside down for my card. It wasn’t intentional but I like the way it turned out!

I kept this one pretty simple because I wanted to show off this gorgeous paper. :D I did a little bit of paper piercing in the corners and along the center of the striped paper.

Here is the inside:

a birthday wish

This is a birthday card I made this weekend for a family friend’s daughter. Evey is close friends with her so she went out with me to pick out some purple paper just for Zoey. And I came up with this based on TTIC Sketch Challenge 7

I took a few liberties with the sketch because my Cuttlebug decided to blow up on me when I ran my new Nesties die through it… grrr. So I switched gears and hand cut this instead.

I started with the Bazzill basics card stock in Snapdragon (the light purple), Bouquet (the dark purple) and Piglet (the pink) and started layering. Evey picked out this super cute designer paper… S.E.I Ally’s Wonderland – Dancing Dahlias. It is wonderfully sparkley. The focal point is an Inkadinkado stamp that I can’t remember the name of because I tossed the package before I wrote the name down. Oops. I stamped it onto white card stock and colored it with my trusty Prismacolor pencils, hand cut and layered it, and lastly added a little bling for fun.

Here’s a close up of the stamp…

Evey loved it and was so proud to give it away! :D
