Ghouls, Ghosts and Goblins

Hey everyone! I’ve got lots of exciting news today!! First thing, I’m joining the Flutterby Wednesday design team!!! I’m so excited. I’ve participated in that challenge as often as I could and Danni is just the sweetest and I am so HAPPY to be joining them! Today is my first post for them and our challenge is to use Orange, Violet and Black along with a butterfly, fairy or angel… getting a little Halloween on with our fluttery friends. :D

Today is ALSO Wild Flower Wednesday and today marks the last Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge of 2010. After much thought and consideration I decided it would be best for me and my family if I took a break for November and December from drawing stamps and running the design team. We have such a CRAZY two months in November and December with all the holidays and about a 1,000 family birthdays that I want to take a step back and focus on family and enjoy the holidays. I’m sure you all can relate. :D So when the new year rolls around look for a NEW Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge and new happenings over on at the Patch!

For today we have a HUGE give away for our last challenge of the year! One very lucky random participant will win TWO 4×6 rubber stamp sheets featuring the Pretty in Pink and No Girls Allowed stamps!!!

Now what is the challenge… well it’s a simple one for this week… anything Halloween!!! Easy peasy!!

Here’s my card using Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge and the WFP and Flutterby challenges… GULP.

I used Fairy Princess and colored her with Copics… I’m a bit rusty. I’ve been using my Prismacolors so much that I had a bit of trouble getting back into the groove with my Copics, lol.

The designer paper is by My Mind’s Eye and I used a couple of Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Here’s a closer look at the my coloring and the sparkle on her wings.

Thanks for stopping by today! If you’d like to check out the challenges you can find them at Flutterby Wednesday and The Wild Flower Patch!

Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge 26

Wow! I can’t believe that today is the official 6 month mark of Wild Flower Wednesday Challenges… I know that’s relatively young but it doesn’t seem possible that we’ve done that many! Thank you to everyone who has participated! We have a lot of fun each week looking through all the entries. :D

This week we have a pretty simple challenge… embossing. Any type… heat, wet, or dry. What ever type you like. :D

For my sample I used heat embossing and dry embossing. The image I used is from last year’s Christmas set and is simply titled Christmas Tree. I colored this image last year at Christmas time so I really can’t tell you what colors I used, lol. To add heat embossing to the tree I added a bit of Versamark pen to the glass balls on the tree was well as to the tips of the branches. I added clear embossing powder to the balls and glitter to the tree to look like a bit of snow. My dry embossing was a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

If you’d like to partipate with us this week all you need to do is make a card that uses embossing. Wild Flower Kids Images are not required so we’d love to have you participate with us! To get the full details head over to the blog.

Be sure to check out  the other Design Team members samples!
