Deconstructed Sketch No. 179

Are you ready for Deconstructed Sketch 179? I hope you like it! Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:

1. Use the sketch up top to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like. Use the sketch to inspire your own creativity. Feel free to substitute shapes for what you have available and mount tags and circles to a card base if you’d prefer.

2. Post it somewhere on the internet (your personal blog, SplitcoaststampersFlickrPinterest, etc). Use keyword DS179.

3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post.

For my card today I am doubling up on challenges using the new Color Throw Down color combo of Brown, Silver, Gold and White.

I really love making Christmas cards, it’s one of the things I look forward to each year and I like the challenge of making a Christmas card with non traditional colors. I am really happy with how this turned out. I used Verve’s Peace on Earth (this set is currently sold out – I am very sorry for the teaser). I didn’t have metallic or glitter silver/gold paper so I used some embossing powders and gold/silver colored paper to help meet the challenge of using silver and gold.
