Deconstructed Sketch No. 186

Deconstructed Sketch 186

Morning! Are you ready for Deconstructed Sketch 186? I hope you like it! Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:

1. Use the sketch up top to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like. Use the sketch to inspire your own creativity. Feel free to substitute shapes for what you have available and mount tags and circles to a card base if you’d prefer.

2. Post it somewhere on the internet (your personal blog, SplitcoaststampersFlickrPinterest, etc). Use keyword DS186.

3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post.

Here’s my take on the sketch.

Love Always by Jen Shults

I really had fun using this sketch! I love lost of banner flags and hearts so this one was right up my alley. My husband and I have our 15 year anniversary coming up (in April) and when I saw this sketch I wanted to get started on a card for him for our anniversary. I’m not sure if this is the one I will use or not – I have a tendency to make 3 or 4 and then pick the one I like best after I’ve made a few. 🙂

For this one I started with a Toffee cardbase and layered it with a bit of Cookie Monster cardstock that I embossed with the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder. Then I layered that with a bit of Granny Smith cardstock and another panel of Toffee cardstock. I stamped the sentiment right onto the Toffee panel and added the love cut out from the Love You More stamp and die set. I then cut the hearts out using the Heart Stacklets dies. I embossed the larger one using the Zig Zag embossing folder. I die cut the numbers using Poster Graphic #’s dies. The flags are cut with the Banner Stacklets 1.
