Deconstructed Sketch No. 20!!

Say what? Does that say 20 sketches??? How did the time fly by so fast? I know 20 isn’t that much in the grand scheme of long running sketch challenges but DANG it’s flown by SO fast!

Today’s Sketch

Deconstructed Sketch 20I know, it’s got grey. I thought I’d try something new. I don’t like it. Back to all white next week.

I’m boring.

I like it that way.

My Sample:

This week I decided it’s time to really start making a dent in those Christmas cards so I made…. 1. It’s a start. I pulled out the super duper cute Taylored Expressions Penguin Pals stamps set and stamped out a whole bunch of images and then dug through my paper stash and discovered that sadly I’m going to have a VERY hard time justifying by any of the new cute Christmas paper because I have SO MUCH left over from last year because I bought a ton of it at the end of the season. SILLY ME! **Note to self… buying paper at the end of the season on sale means you can’t buy the new even cuter stuff next season… don’t do that again!** So any how, I settled on this adorable Echo Park Everyone Loves Christmas paper and got to work. I colored the little penguin with Copics and then used a Tombow glue pen and Martha Stewart Crystal Tinsel glitter to add some sparkle to his hat and the snow at his feet. I sponged around the die with TH Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and outlined it with a Sharpie Pen. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch that I don’t recall the name of for the loopy border. I used my bow easy to make a double bow and added a bit more doodling and a sentiment from the Penguin Pals set.
