Faith and Hope
It’s Wednesday and that means it’s Wild Flower Wednesday and Flutterby Wednesday time! I’m really happy that I had a bit of a break from my cold last night enough to get a card together for this challenge though it seems like I’m really paying for the late night today. 🙁
Our challenge this week is to distress our projects… a technique I really love but don’t go full out on all that often. For my card I used Amaryllis from the Wild Flower Patch.
To color Amaryllis I used my Copics… I really didn’t use to many, I’ve listed them out below. I wanted to make her skin the only part that was in color and colored the rest to be black and white. After I colored her I added a bit of sparkle to her wings and to her hair with a Spica pen and a Sakura StarDust pen.
I distress the edges around Amaryllis and then layer her up on black cardstock. In the background I stamped the slines background stamp from The Greeting Farm’s Spotlight Kit onto a sheet of paper from the Old World paper pack by DCWV using Memento Tuxedo Black ink then I sponged the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. I bunch a couple of border pieces using a new Martha Stewart edge punch and used the alphabet that came with my Unity May 2010 KOM to create the faith and hope sentiments. I got the idea for that from Mag, though I know lots of people do it… I frequently see it on Mag’s awesome creations.
The other Wild Flower Patch design team ladies have some AMAZING creations this week. Be sure to hop over and check them out!
