Dream Header

Hey everyone! We finally have consistent internet again! WooHoo! It also looks like I’m heading back to work tomorrow. I’ve been really thankful for these three days off. My youngest gave me his cold and it’s a whopper. I feel like my nose may never stop running, lol. Here’s hoping my 8th graders are patient tomorrow. Right. Well, one can hope.

I missed this weeks Flutterby Wednesday because our internet was out and now that it’s finally up and working again I wanted to share my card really quick. Our sponsor this week is Michelle Perkett . She has a wonderful line of whimiscal digital stamps. Definitely one to check out.

I, unfortunately, wasn’t able to use one of her images on my card because the only printer I have right now is our laser printer and it’s not compatible with my Primsacolors. They smear the toner all over the place. 🙁 So instead I used an image from All That Scraps called Swiss Pixie Gretel.

She’s stamped in Memento ink and colored with Prismacolors. I colored her to coordinate with October Afternoon’s Fly a Kite paper pad. After she was all colored I cut her out using a Nestabilities Classic Circle Small and sponged inside the die with Peeled Paint and Broken Glass Distress Ink. I layered her on a brown circle then I cut the background panels and used one of MFT large scalloped edge dies to make the scalloped layer. I added a bit of Washi tape and bakers twine. The flower is made from two layers of Blossom Nestabilities that have been sponged and crinkled. I added a button on top and lastly added a bit of glitter to her wings and I was done. ***Quick warning to Prismacolor users… colored pencils don’t so much like heat guns. Just saying. ***
