Today I have a super cute new Moka to introduce to you today! Moka Tim is our resident handy man and perfect for my hubby, lol! I LOVE this stamp… it even looks a bit like my husband, lol. I had so much fun with this stamp and all the little extras that come with him!

I started my card by stamping Tim on Snow White Choice cardstock (my FAVE for coloring these days) using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copic Markers. I then cut him out using a Deckle Rectangle Small Spellbinders Die. I masked Tim off by stamping a second image of him onto a Post-It note (making sure to stamp as much on the sticky part of the note as I could), cutting it him out and attaching him to the cardstock. Using Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink I sponged all around the cardstock while it was still in the die. To finish the image panel off I stamped a few hammers and pliers around the image as well as a few splotches. When I was all done I pulled the Post-It note off of Tim and he stayed nice and clean. :)

Next I used a piece of blue paper from this months Loyal Project Pantry kit to make my own designer paper with the hammer, pliers and Mr. Fix It stamps from the set. I stamped these all over the paper using Versamark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

To finish up the card I layered everything added a bit of ribbon from the Project Pantry Kit, a sentiment that is stamped on Choice Buttercream cardstock and a couple of buttons from my stash.

This Month’s Project Pantry basics kit:

Well that’s it from me today! Please hop around and check out what the other ladies have to share with you today.

It’s time for sneak peaks at Taylored Expressions! I hope you are ready because we have some super cute stamp sets to show you today!

The first project I have to share with you I  am SO excited about!!! It uses TWO super cute and brand new sets called All Aboard and Loads of Fun. All Aboard features 20 images and sentiments and the coordinating Loads of Fun features 15 images and sentiments both are made of the highest quality red rubber and EZ Mount Cling Foam and are predie cut and ready to use!. Both sets are illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and are concepted by ME!!! I love love love these sets. The idea behind this set came from my 5 year old son. He is a train FANATIC and I really wanted a cute versatile train set that I could use for lots of different occasions. This super cute train can be filled with the ‘fillables’ from the Loads of Fun set or used on it’s own. These sets can be used together or apart and also coordinate with the new super cute Train Track Border die.

For my card I stamped the locomotive, freight car and caboose from All Aboard, masked off the freight car with a post it and stamped the boy toys fillable from Loads of Fun on top. I colored the train with Copic Markers and cut them out. I made a background for this scene using the brand new Train Track Border cut from kraft cardstock and gry cardstock. Behind that I layered a bit of green cardstock die cut with the grass border die and used Copics to fill in between the tracks to make it look like gravel. The sky is sponged with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. The smoke from the train is die cut using the Cloud Duo dies. Behind this cute little scene I used Simple Stories Awesome 6×6 paper. The sentiments are both from the All Aboard set. Whew! There’s loads of stuff on here but I LOVE how it all came out!

For my second project I used the ADORABLE Far Out stamp set illustrated by Emily Burger for the Embracing Grace stamp line. I used this months Project Pantry papers and ribbon along with this week’s TESC157 for the layout. Far Out includes 21 images and sentiments made of the highest quality red rubber and EZ Mount Cling Foam and is predie cut and ready to use!

So here’s the low down! I stamped the sweet little robot on Snow White Choice cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Copics and die cut it using a Spellbinders circle die. I sponged the edges of all the papers with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Taylored Dies used in my cards today:

(If you’ve already posted and you would like to be considered, just shoot me an email and I’ll add you to the list.)

Guest designer terms are 3 months long with one post a week.

The closing time for submissions will be May 3 at 6 am CST. The new guest will be announced on May 4th and will start with us for the May 10 sketch.

Alright, so get that mojo going and get your entries in!

Well, I’m 1/2 way through what is always one of the roughest weeks of the school year for me. PHEW. Two more days to go and a trip this weekend. I can do it! Who wants a sketch to play with???

Here it is:

I have to admit that at first when I started this sketch I was a little iffy on it but now, well it’s one of my all time faves and I know I’m going to use it again.

For my card I used Tiddly Inks Wryn – Grow a Little Love and colored her with Copics to match Echo Parks This and That Graceful paper.

I went a little nuts with the sanding on this and I pulled out one of my favorite techniques… embossing and sanding designer paper for this one. And of course I couldn’t miss an opportunity to use some twine thread. That stuff is a staple at my house, lol.

Want your sketches a little early? Follow the Deconstructed Sketch on Facebook!! And if you are looking for some older sketches to dig through you can find them in the Deconstructed Sketchbook. Now it’s time to hop around and see what everyone else on the DT has been up to and leave them a little love.

There are no image requirements for the Deconstructed Sketch. All you have to do is use the sketch in a recognizable way (feel free to alter, I usually do) on a project and link back here to InLinkz and I’ll come around and visit you!
