Welcome to our September 2013 Spotlight Hops! We’re so excited to share some new Verve with you! Each day this week, the Divas will be shining their Verve spotlights on a different set, so stay tuned for a week filled with inspiration! Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 9/27.
Today I’m using a brand new set called Birthday Bots. This set is so adorable and filled with potential for both boys and girls. For my projects today I used three of the different robots to make a coordinating set of three cards. I had a little fun with this. I cut out all the same elements, colored up my robots and then used all the pieces to make three different layouts. This was pretty fun! I enjoyed doing it and it gave me some ideas for other layouts I’d like to try in the future. 🙂
For each card I embossed the red cardstock with the Birthday Greetings Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug, embossed the white panel with different masculine embossing folders and rounded the corners. Cut and matted the blue panel and stamped and die cut the sentiment using the Mini Classy Label Die. To finish them all off I added a bit of twine and a few of the Metal Mix Sequins.

I really love this new set and the red & turquoise colors! They make your card PoP!
Adorable “bots!” I can tell you had a lot of fun colouring them and tweaking the card design each time. All the embossing really adds to your cute little nerdy cards.
