Welcome to our September 2013 Spotlight Hops! We’re so excited to share some new Verve with you! Each day this week, the Divas will be shining their Verve spotlights on a different set, so stay tuned for a week filled with inspiration! Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 9/27.
Today I’ve got a bit of a clean and simple card for you that I am so happy turned out well (or at least I think it did 🙂 ). I’m featuring the new set Poppy Birthday. This set is so fun and has a wonderful set of coordinating dies. I started by cutting out a square of white cardstock and stamping the poppy fills on the square using a variety of red and orange inks. I then used the coordinating detail stamps in black. To finish the square I stamped three leaves in green and then filled in with a coordinating Copic color as I didn’t have the right color ink. For the background I embossed the red panel with a wood grain embossing folder and wrapped it with twine thread. I added a die cut from the Flag It Dies set at the bottom of the matted rectangle and it was done! So fast and so fun!!
