So I’m more than a little nervous to post this for all the world to see. It’s tough to put yourself out there and open yourself up to criticism. I’m fortunate that I have students that build up my confidence quite frequently but it seems that all too often I have a hard time seeing the forest for the trees when it comes to my own work. I’m all to eager to revel in the successes and ignore the mistakes. It takes but a small shove to topple me off my precarious pedestal and make me question myself. I know there is always someone better and with everything there are certainly always flaws. This drawing is no different. And as my husband was so quick to point out – his nose looks flat.
This is a drawing I started yesterday of Ben. I’m finding that it’s quite different to transfer graphite to pixels in an accurate way due to the reflective nature of the material.
I welcome constructive thoughts…
