Hi Friends! It’s time again for our monthly, Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop! Now that so many of you have our Summer Product Release stamp sets in your hot little hands, our Pod Squad of designers have geared up to inspire you with even MORE creative possibilities featuring the newest SugarPea Designs sets!
For my hop card today I tried no line coloring. It’s been a very very long time since I attempted this and I completely forgot how much concentration it requires. I LOVE the effect but whoa – you have to pay attention! You can take a peek at my first attempt at it here… way back in 2011. I don’t think I’ve done it since! But man is all that work worth the effort when it’s all done.
I started out by stamping the image from Tons of Fun in a pale colored ink. I used Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink in Pale Blush on white cardstock. I colored the image with Copics and added the grass/ground to the scene with Copics as I went. After coloring I die cut the image with SPD SugarCuts Zig Zag Stitched Circles and layered it with a pink Spellbinders Circle to get a thin mat. The sentiment is from Tweet Friend. I die cut the sentiment using a small banner die and added a twine bow and button. The yellow gingham paper was cut using SPD SugarCuts Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles.
