Frog Prince Card by Jen Shults

Since making my bobble head kitty card with the Sack It Kitty dies way back in January I have been wanting to make another card like that and when I saw this amazing little frog die set I KNEW it was a perfect fit! (I need a better photo – this one is a little washed out on top.) I had SO much fun making this card. I adore these Sack It dies as they have so many options for fun and unique gifts and cards.

I started this card by die cutting all of the frog pieces out of Sweet Basil cardstock and Green Apple cardstock for the belly. I used Dijon cardstock for the crown, Oreo for the smile and Strawberry Milkshake for the cheeks. To make the cardbase I die cut a folded circle card using a Spellbinders Circle die (you could use any circle die). I then began sponging the edges of all the green pieces with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. To assemble I just attached the belly first to the circle and then the legs. The head is attached with a wobble spring. (I’m sure you could find a smaller package somewhere else – that’s just what I found first to show what they were.) I cut the two hearts using the smallest Heart Stacklets die. For the crown I added a few red Tiny Twinkles and a red sequin and done!

The inside is decorated very simply and stamped with a sentiment from Punny Love.

My second card uses the brand new and SO ADORABLE Little Bits Fishing Rod dies. How cute is this??? I started with a Poppy Seed cardbase and layered it with Salt Water Taffy cardstock matted with Sugar Cube cardstock. I embossed the Saltwater Taffy cardstock with the Zig Zag Embossing Folder. To make the stamp I used Postage Stamp Stacklets and layered it with more Saltwater Taffy cardstock. The heart is cut using Heart Stacklets. To make the string of the fishing pole I cut the die out of vellum and carefully added just a bit of glue to the end of the fishing pole. The sentiment comes from Punny Love.
