Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks Day 2!

Hi everyone! It’s time for day two of Taylored Expressions September sneak peeks and today we have some super adorable and fun products to share with you!!

First up is the new Simply Stamped Sunflowers. This is my favorite Simply Stamped set so far and that’s saying something because they all are amazing!

Face to the Sunshine by Jen Shults

I started my card by painting a simple watercolor background that fades from a blue sky into a green ground, keeping the edges loose and uneven. I stamped the sunflower on Sugar Cube cardstock using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and Cantaloupe, Tangelo, Rich Cocoa and Toffee Crunch Memento Inks. The stem was also stamped on Sugar Cube with Bamboo Leaves and Cottage Ivy Memento Ink. I die cut the flower and stem using the Simply Stamped Sunflowers dies that coordinate with the stamps.

The sentiment is one of my absolute favorites and is included in the Simply Stamped Sunflowers set. I knew the minute I saw it that I would use this sentiment. I had a high school composition teacher who looked like Mark Twain and had Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau quotes all over his room. He’s one of the teachers I remember the most from high school even though the subject was not one I was even remotely interested in.

My second card features a new Sack It die set called Sack It Castle. This die set is AMAZING! I have so many ideas for how to use this set. At first I was a little intimidated but once I started working with the dies the castle went together so easily and looks so impressive!

Instead of making a gift sack with the dies I used a 3″ x 3″ notecard as the base for the castle. After die cutting all the pieces assembly was super easy. After the castle was together I decided to go back in and add some hand drawn stone/brick shapes was well was a bit of doodling on the flags and hearts. To finish it off I added Stardust Stickles to the windows.
