TE May Sneak Peeks Day 2: Let Love Grow

Let Love Grow by Jen Shults

Hi everyone! It’s day two of Taylored Expressions May Release sneak peeks! Today I have two cards to share with you!

My first card features a new addition to the TE Bouquet Series, the Wagon Bouquet. Isn’t this just a gorgeous stamp?!? I stamped this on Sugar Cube using Oreo Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I used the MISTI to stamp the image so I could be sure I had nice solid lines. After coloring the image I die cut it with the coordinating die.

To build the scene behind the wagon I started with a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and sponged Granny Smith lightly toward the bottom and Salt Water Taffy lightly toward the top. I die cut this with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. For the grass I cut the Wispy Grass die four times from Granny Smith cardstock and layered them together positioning the wagon in the top 1/4. I die cut Build a Scene Rolling Clouds from Sugar Cube for the clouds and Build a Scene Sunshine from Lemon Meringue and Potato Chip for the sun. I die cut a small tag from Designer Mini Tags and stamped it with Let Love Grow using Oreo ink and tied a small burlap bow before adhering it to the center of the grass.

My second card features a two new TE products, Pinhole Star Stacklets and Simply Said – 4th of July. I started my card by water coloring the background using Distress Inks on a piece of TE Watercolor cardstock. I used Barn Door, Faded Jeans, and a tiny bit of Blue Print Sketch Distress Re-inkers.

Next I cut out a bunch of different stars from Pinhole Star Stacklets and Star Stacklets from Sugar Cube, Blue Corn and Cherry Pop cardstock. These coordinated perfectly with the watercolor! I mixed and matched layering the stars together until I had a set I liked and then arranged them around the card. To finish up I stamped the sentiment on vellum and die cut it with Banner Stacklets 4. I had to extend the die a bit by repositioning it half way through the cut. I added a few clear drops using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew.
