TE Release Day: Blessed By Your Friendship

Blessed by Your Friendship by Jen Shults

Today is Taylored Expressions February Release Day! All of the goodies we have been sharing with you are available to purchase. You can find everything here.

My first project is a fun clean and simple card that I made for a good friend at work. I started with a Sugar Cube cardbase and then cut a second piece of Sugar Cube using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I then cut a large circle using Stitched Circle Stacklets from copy paper and used it as a mask to sponge the circle in the center of the rectangle using Sprinkles ink and a Ranger Ink Blending Tool.

Next I use my Misti and a sentiment from So Very Blessed to stamp the “by your friendship” portion of the sentiment in Oreo ink. Next I die cut three Blessed Script die cuts from Oreo cardstock and glued them together using spray adhesive. I attached the script to the center of the circle and then used a variety of colors of TE’s Enamel Shapes for a bit of fun color around the sentiment. I popped the whole thing up on foam tape and attached it to the card base.

My second card today uses Peek-a-Boo Easter along with the new and super adorable Little Bits Pocket die. These two go together so perfectly!

My second card started with an A2 cardbase cut from Toffee. I cut two 1″ strips of Lollipop dot paper from 6×6 Paper Pack Rainbow Brights for the left and right side and attached them and trimmed them flush to the cardbase. Next I cut anther narrower piece of Toffe cardstock and distressed the sides a little and stamped the sentiment about 2/3rds down the cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Next I die cut the pocket from Sugar Cube and sponged it with Blue Corn ink and added a heart cut from more dot paper. I stamped the little chick from Peek a Boo Easter on Sugar Cube and colored it with Copics and die cut him and put him in the pocket and I was done!
