TE Sneak Peeks: Have a Magical Day!

Have a Magical Day by Jen ShultsHi everyone! Welcome to day 2 of Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks! We have a lot in store for you this week. We will be sneak peeking new products Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with all the new product available on Thursday at 7 AM PDT at the Taylored Expressions Store!

Today I’m sharing a couple of projects using a stamp set that I just LOVE and some fun new dies! Both of my cards today feature the new Magical Day Stamp & Die Combo and Rainbow Cutting plate. I LOVE this adorable little dragons from Magical Day – they are so sweet!

To start my card I stamped the dragon on Sugar Cube cardstock with Oreo ink and colored it with Copics. I did cut it out with the coordinating die. I set this aside and started building the background. I cut a piece of Salt Water Taffy cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die and sponged it with Sprinkles and Cookie Monster ink to create a gradient sky. Next I cut a tree line out of Peapod ink using Build a Scene Rolling Clouds die and sponged the edge with Peapod ink. I die cut the new Stitched Cloud Duo dies from Sugar Cube and added them to the sky. I cut out two trees from Build a Scene – Trees using Granny Smith and Chocolate Truffle and sponged the edges of the leaves with Granny Smith ink.  I die cut the Rainbow Cutting Plate from Sugar Cube and sponged the rainbow pieces with Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Pumpkin, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Potato Chip, Peapod, Granny Smith, Cookie Monster, Sprinkles, Jelly Donut and Plum Punch ink and then glued the rainbow pieces into the background. I strategically placed the smaller tree to cover the edge of the rainbow. Next I assembled everything and added a sentiment stamped on a Little Bits Let’s Talk Bubble 2 die cut. To finish off I added Clear Wink of Stella to the rainbow and the dragon.

For my second card I again used Magical Day but this time kept the card much simpler. 🙂

Roaring Good Day by Jen Shults

To start my card I stamped the dragon on Sugar Cube cardstock with Oreo ink and then colored her with Copic markers and die cut her with the coordinating die. To create the clouds I used a Clarity Stencil Brush and Sprinkles ink to sponge ink over a Build a Scene Rolling Clouds die cut. I die cut this with Stitched Circle Stacklets. I stamped the sentiment on Oreo cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I arranged the card and then die cut Little Bits Love Confetti hearts from Strawberry Milkshake and coated them with Glossy Accents to make a few embellishments for the sentiment and above the dragon. 🙂
