Today Taylored Expressions and Tombow are teaming up to bring you a fun Halloween Blog Hop and don’t you worry, it wouldn’t be a blog hop with out prizes so stay tuned!
Project How To:
For my hop project I’ve combined Halloween Doodles from Taylored Expressions with Tombow’s Dual Brush Pen Markers Groovy Six pack. I started my project by stamping out the pumpkin on Choice Water Color Paper with Black Archival Ink that I heat set. I then used the markers from the Groovy set along with a Tombow Blender Pen (I LOVE that thing) to color and shade the pumpkin. I was VERY impressed with how well the markers layered and blended on the watercolor paper using the blender pen. It was very seamless and easy to apply and dried smooth. For circle element of my card I die cut the Spiderweb Cutting plate and then sponged through it onto a scrap of Choice Watercolor using Black Soot ink from Ranger, I then stamped the spider from Halloween Doodles on the web and drew in a little web string using a Stardust Gel Pen. The designer paper layers are from Doodlebug’s Halloween Parade 6×6 Paper Pad. The sentiment is stamped on Choice Kraft and die cut using Banner Stacklets 1. The background base is embossed with a Cuttlebug Script embossing folder. To finish off I added a few Doodlebug Sprinkles in Beetle Black as well as a bit of twine thread and distressing.
To glue my project together I used Tombow’s Mono Adhesive – Permanent. I really liked how quickly this helped me put my project together and how easy the applicator is to use. I used the Tombow Glue Stick to help tack down my project as I was arranging the pieces and use the Mono Adhesive to add stability after I had a layout I liked.
