The Deconstructed Sketch No. 46

It’s time for a new Deconstructed Sketch! Who is ready??

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has participated in Sketch 44 so far. Your creations are amazing and I am so so inspired by the creativity each week. Keep it up!

This week we are sponsored by a brand new digital stamp designer that I found on Etsy not to long ago. She has some fabulously creative images… you are going to LOVE them! Well you want to know who it is don’t you, lol. Sorry I’m so cryptic sometimes. 🙂 Mayzy Art is offering 8 digis to the randomly selected winner of this week’s sketch challenge. All you have to do is use the sketch in a recognizable way on a project and link back here to InLinkz by April 11, 2012 at 8 PM CST.

Be sure to check out the design teams creations with Mayzy’s WONDERFUL digis!

Here’s the sketch!

Here’s my sample:

I used Seafoam – the High Fashion Mermaid from Mayzy Art Stamps and colored her with Copics. I added a ton of sparkle with a Sakura Stardust Pen and Stardust Stickles. I distressed all the edges and did a triple layer of sponged ink around Seafoam to create the gradient from blue green to light blue. To finish it up I added Prima rose and a bit of twine thread. Here are some detail shots:

Want your sketches a little early? Follow the Deconstructed Sketch on Facebook!! And if you are looking for some older sketches to dig through you can find them in the Deconstructed Sketchbook. Now it’s time to hop around and see what everyone else on the DT has been up to and leave them a little love.
