Tiddly Inks Challenge: Go Goth

It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for a new Tiddly Inks Challenge! This week we are going a bit dark, a bit messy and a bit Goth. Well I went dark and messy, you don’t have to, lol!

For my card today I used Poppy from Tiddly Inks and colored her with Copic Markers. I used a combination of Bo Bunny and My Mind’s Eye Meadowlark paper. I inked the edges of everything very heavily with a direct to paper inking technique using Black Soot and Barn Door Distress Ink. I used a couple of Tim Holtz Bitty Grunge stamps around the edges of the image. Around the image I hand wrote “Be who you are” and I used eyelets to lace black floss through the middle of the card and the bottom of the card behind the flowers.

The layout is the June I <3 Sketches sketch. 🙂 This is by far the grungiest, messiest card I’ve ever made and I’m not entirely sure I know what to think about it. I like it… but I’m still processing it a bit, lol.

If you’d like to join us this week head on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for full details on how to enter!
