This week our challenge is brought to you by the letter J! And J stands for Jacquie!!! Jacquie is one of our new Guest Design Team members and she ROCKS! I’m so excited she is joining us because she just oozes enthusiasm and is so fun to ‘hang’ out with.
Jacquie chose Renesmee for this week’s challenge topic. You can get the full details of her challenge over at the TTIC blog.
I hate to give out warnings but if you haven’t read all the way through the series to Breaking Dawn you may want to stop right here because there will be spoilers below.
Our challenge task was to create something related to, about, inspired by Renesmee. It was WIDE open. And I have to tell you on a side note that I almost made a charm bracelet with an ode to the Loch Ness Monster but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I really like her character but oh, that horrid name, and that hilarious nick name just beg to be have a little fun poked at them.
My challenge piece this week is a more jewelry. Because we KNOW Nessie is a jewelry hound because who wouldn’t be with Alice and Rosalie as Aunts?
For this set I went with some died freshwater pearls… pink, of course. With the pearls I used some tiny 4mm clear crystals and some twisted rings. For the necklace I started with the locket, added it to a simple chain and embellished it with a few of the same pearls and crystals from the bracelet.
Definitely an Alice purchase I think, don’t you?
(Please forgive my horrid photo this week… the weather hasn’t been cooperating… or at least it wasn’t when I took this.)
Be sure to head over and see what the other lovely ladies made this week and don’t forget to go comment over on the TTIC blog so you can be entered into this month’s blog candy give away!
