Welcome back to Verve’s October 2014 Release Celebration! Three new sets, three new dies and a sequin mix just released on Saturday and today we’re back sharing our inspirations with a new set illustrated by Chaitali Narla called Masquerade and the new Gown Die and Mask Die Set!
Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a bit of a different card for me. I tried to make a one layer card with the fun new Masquerade stamp set. I have a friend at work that I specifically designed this for. She’s very into theatre but aI started with a Steel Gray cardbase and stamped one of the masks on the base using Colorbox Frost White Ink which I heat set. Next I stamped the feathers in Memento Tuxedo Black along with the handle. Next I used Frost White again to stamp the strings on the left side of the mask and I heat embossed those with Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder. Then I stamped the mask again on a second piece of cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder and die cut it using the coordinating Mask DIe Set. I attached this to the cardbase over the original mask stamp with foam tape and then coated it with Stardust Stickles for additional sparkle. To finish off I stamped the beads from the Masquerade set around the outside of the card to create a border.
