Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge

Hi all. It’s time for the Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge. You can get all the details in this post on Taylor’s blog.

For my calendar post this month I used Bikes and Trikes from the Embracing Grace line illustrated by Emily Berger. I thought this set was just perfect for an August calendar.

I started out by stamping the trike on Choice Watercolor Paper using Brilliance Graphite Black ink and then I heat set it just to insure it wouldn’t run with the Distress Markers. Next I cut it out using a circle Spellbinders die and painted it with Distress Markers. After it was painted I matted it with a scalloped circle Spellbinders die and started on the rest of the layout. I used the 6×6″ 2013 calendar print out so this is ready to go for next year. I matted that on a bit of orange cardstock and used Echo Park’s Sweet Day paper. I made a border using the Grass Border Die. To add some dimension I used the Cloud Duo die and embossed the clouds with the Waves/Bubbles Embossing plate. To finish it off I used the Fly Your Flag 2 die to cut out the sentiment and I tucked it under the focal image.

For my calendar I use the Frame Your Imagination Calendar Stand that I painted white and distressed with a sanding block and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

These are the Taylored Dies and Impression Plates I used on my calendar:
