A Farm Fresh Sketch

It’s Friday and that mean’s it’s Farm Fresh Friday time over at the Greeting Farm Blog. This week we have a wonderful sketch from Mary Giles.

Mary Sketch

This was a really great sketch to work with. I did end up flipping it from left to right because I have a thing about my images not facing off the card and since Pinto faced left I need her over on the right side of the card. For my card I used Pinto Pony by Marina Neira and colored her with Copics and a Spica marker. You can see a bit of the sparkle in the image below.

I cut her out with a Nesties label. The background was sponged with Faded Denim distress ink and then embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I added a bit of Spica to the embossing to make it have just a little bit of sparkle. The designer paper strip is Basic Grey Urban Prairie. To finish the card up I added ribbon and a bow using my Bow Easy. I finished the edges of the bow by running the ribbon next to the flame from a lighter to seal the edges… frayed ribbon really bugs me, lol. I added 3 Kaiser rhinestones and some faux stitching with an 01 Micron multiliner and glued it all down.

Now let’s see what the Farmers and Critter Crew have up their sleeves for today’s challenge:

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to head over to the TGF Blog for the official challenge rules and prizes! I’ll be back tomorrow with my Oh, Alice!
