Anita Be Stampin’ Challenge #10
Hi all! I’ve got two posts for today so please be sure to take a look at my card for today’s Greeting Farm Blog Hop!
Our challenge today is a color challenged titled Denim and Vintage Laced! I just LOVE that! For my card I used Bears and Bunches and stamped him on Rustic White PTI Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I decided I wanted to try my hand at a single layer card today. Prismacolors lend themselves pretty well to that as they don’t soak into the cardstock. I used a burnishing technique with the Prismacolors instead of OMS. Burnishing basically means laying the pencil down in layers and then adding one final thick blending layer either with a color or the Prismacolor colorless blender. I used a little of both on this card but I think I like the burnishing with a color better than the blender. I really like the look of this technique, it gives such rich deep colors. After coloring I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and then punched two holes for the twine, wrapped the twine, tied a bow and I was all finished!
