Birthday Party Favor Set

Hi everyone! I have a fun set of projects to share today using a new product from Taylored Expressions: 100% Wool Designer Glitter Felt and 100% Wool Designer Foil Felt!!!

My daughter just recently turned 14 and she wanted some fun decorations for her party so we created these cute and quick coordinating cupcake picks, favor boxes and thank you notes using Valentine Treat Toppers from Taylored Expressions and the new Foil and Glitter Felt!

Each decoration started with the Valentine Treat Toppers to die cut the felt and then layered with cardstock cut using Stitched Circle Stacklets and Inside Scallop Circle Stacklets in coordinating colors. For the treat box I used Tagging Along, for the notecard I used 3×3 Scalloped Notecard die.

***Special Note: To die cut this felt using TE’s regular steel dies you’ll need an electronic die cut machine such as a Vagabond or Gemini machine and a metal shim. The felt can be cut with a manual die cut machine when using the new Mixed Media Dies. To get a complete cut it is recommended to die cut the felt glitter or foil side down with the die face the smooth felt side.

 The foil felt adds such a fun metallic shimmer to projects and gives a wonderful element of fun!

The cupcake picks were a HUGE hit among the party guests as were the treat boxes. 🙂 These gorgeous cupcakes are from Hy-Vee – I’m not much of a baker. 🙂
