Chapter 6: The Red Queen’s Fine Print
“The Red Queen shook her head, “You may call it ‘nonsense’ if you like,” she said, “but I’ve heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!”
This week we’re getting down to business and reading the “fine print” here in Wonderland.
We’re also SO excited to be welcoming Digital Delights by Louby Loo as our sponsor this week! WOW! What a lucky group we are! Wendy from Digital Delights has not only graced the DT with some super fun Alice-inspired images to use, but is giving away a TEN DOLLAR GIFT CERTIFICATE to one lucky winner who will be randomly drawn from all the entries this week! THANKS Wendy!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a card using some form of TEXT/Printed DP, Old Book pages, Newspaper print, Old dictionary, etc. We just need to see SOME form of printed text on your card or project!
So here is my project for this week:
I used Wonderland Briley. Isn’t she sweet! She was tons of fun to color. I went back to my Copics for this one. I was a little behind on time and I’m faster with the markers than with my Prismacolors (which is code for I’m ridiculously slow all the way around when it comes to coloring and only slightly faster with Copics than Prismacolors, lol)
I pulled out what is fast becoming my Oh, Alice go to paper pack… Basic Grey Nook and Pantry and set to work on the card. I pulled an old Mojo sketch to get started added a bit of paper from the Three Musketeers book I chopped up from a previous challenge, some Prima flowers, a bit of THDI Walnut Stain and ribbon and done. 😀
I am really happy with how this came out especially because it seemed to all sort of just fall together rather than me banging my head to get the design right, lol.
Here are a few closeups…
I misplaced my Copics list 😥 but I’ll work on finding it. I added a bit of detail with a white Gelly Roll Gel Pen.
And a side shot to show how tall it all is (not very):
Thanks so much Wendy for letting us play with your images. They are fabulous!
